They are often understaffed as they develop and can’t afford the IT skills and systems that they need to support their expansion. Indeed, IT is more often seen as an albatross than as an asset as such organisations move forward.
A large part of the problem is that organisations outgrow their back office support systems without realising it so that delivery and order fulfilment issues begin to build. And then customer service comes under exceptional pressure as customers become increasingly dissatisfied.
This research will assess the CIO or Head of IT can do to resolve some of these issues by examining what impact business information analytics can have in helping mid-sized organisations prioritise investment areas. It will also help CIOs and Heads of IT consider which IT suppliers and services can provide their organisation with more room for growth.
